Daily activities in teaching the child a new language vocabulary

Our day, and the day of the child, is usually full of many events, such as waking up, sleeping, eating, bathing, changing clothes, and so on. And these routine events are interspersed with more events such as visits, shopping and going out for a picnic. So how can we educate our child through these events?

1- The events of awakening from sleep; By talking with the child about the daily plan and saying the morning greeting to him, then the next steps of washing the teeth, face, and hands. And all these steps are interspersed with a description and explanation by the parents

2- Events of breakfast or eating, through the participation of the child in preparing the meal and introducing him to the ingredients used and their classifications (fruits, vegetables, kitchen utensils...etc.) Thus, it is preferable to choose the child and urge him to speak so that the continuous description process does not become tedious, for example, “Do you like to rely on labneh or hummus"

3- Buying household items such as fruits, vegetables, or any other necessities. Do not hesitate to include your children in these different activities and help them acquire the skill of planning, implementation, and classifying things into their groups, shapes, and colors

4- When changing a child's clothes, it is preferable to do this with a lot of description and speech, by distinguishing the clothes, their types and colors and when to wear them. In its shapes and colours
5- Even through a car ride, we can use it to describe the surrounding environment and imagine stories from the street itself
6- It is important to use bedtime to exchange stories with the child, not only by reading, but we can give the child an idea, for example, “Suppose you get the opportunity to go on a trip, what will you do?” With reading different stories to the child
